Bali is situated in INDO-PACIFIC, the world richest marine biographic zone. The island, therefore receive very plankton-rich waters and so contains a stunningly diverse underwater ecosystem as well as many totally different physical environements.
Bali’s dive offer great diversity: vertical wall and sand slope; shipwreck, steel and wooden; limestone shorelines and black volcanic outcrops; peacefull bays and ripping current; deep, coral-covered ridges, shallow sea grass beds and big bommies with shore- and boat diving.
The indonesian archipellago makes up nearly 14% of the world coral reef, over 85,000 square kilometers of living coral reef with more than 80 genre of coral and over 2500 species of reef fish and still counting. The pelagic seen include Mantas, Whale, sharks and august till november, mola-molas. The reef contain profuse hard and soft corals, gorgonian and other sea fans, coral bushes, sponges including some massive barrel sponge. Other sea life includes the eels, octopus, cuttlefish and squid, the crab, lobster, turtles, starfish, shrimp and nudibranches.
Every day new and exciting marine life is being discovered throughout the Indonesian archipelago. Its already proven to be richest coral ecosistem and that’s while it’s still one of the least studied of all the world’s tropical reef habitats.
