Bali is one of the best tourism object in the world. When you visiting Bali, of course you are interested to enjoy the beauty of Bali’s nature, the magic culture of the Balinese, and explore the unique way of life of the Balinese.
But, if you come to Bali, don’t forget to try the Balinese traditional food also. Trying new food is a hobby of mine!

Balinese food, like most of Indonesian food in generally has spicy flavor. Lawar, Satay (spicy marinaded thin slices of meat, threaded onto a skewer, barbecued, and served with a spicy peanut sauce), Babi Guling (suckling pig) and Tipat Cantok (served with spicy peanut sauce and often with prawn crackers) are some of Balinese food. Have you ever try it? Some of Balinese food like Suckling Pig, Lawar, and Sate Lilit generally make during the temple festival or ceremony. But now, Really easy to find those Balinese food, you can find it in some restaurant, or even in Warung! A Warung is a small local cafe that traditionally serves local food, but have adapted to accommodate foreign tastes.

some those food (example : suckling pig, lawar, sate lilit) is made of pork that combined with basa genep (bali complete seasoning). Even though trying new food is great, we must always remember that our stomach may not be able to accept new kind of food. So, that is why we recommended you to let the spices and chillies low.

Tuak is one of the well known local alcoholic beverage, is made from fresh coconut flower liquid. Tuak is 5 % alcohol content or its like a juice is stored and left to ferment for about one month. Then we have Brem (7-9 % alcohol content) is made from black glutinous rice and coconut milk and the most popular is arak, a colorless, sugarless spirit from distilled from either brem or tuak with 20-50% alcohol content. It is usually served on the rocks as arak attack or Arak madu ( arak and honey). Arak is easily get from local supermarket or roadside stall in Bali.

Arak Attack Recipe :
1/2 oz Blackberry Schnapps
1/2 oz Arrak
1/2 oz Bols Lychee


Build (Pour) and stir over ice and served on coctail glass . Enjoy your arak attack !
