Serangan Island

10

April

You need a boat, and a lot of luck to get this fickle reef at its best. There are lots of easier places to surf, but if you have access to a boat and happen to be sailing past, then it might be worth checking out. The Serangan island is best known for its turtle farm, not its waves.

OBEROI & BEYOND, Canggu Area

09

April

To avoid crowds you can always check the isolated beach breaks past the Oberoi Hotel, around Canggu Area. The beach stretches over 5 Km to Canggu, with a few river mouths to create good sandbanks. The waves tend to close out and can be dangerous with strange rips and black magic vibes. This is the Euro-Hippie end of the beach, with the best parties and skinny dipping. You can even go bungy jumping here now.
