Yeh Pulu Relief

Yeh Pulu relief was discover by  the army commander of the kingdom of Ubud for the first time in 1925. It is one of the classic monuments from the 14 AD century. The research about this monument was published by DR W.F Sutterheim, the head of the Dutch Archeological Department in 1929.

The name of Yeh Pulu is derived from an image of a bowl where the water comes out in one part of the relief. Yeh means WATER and Pulu means LARGE an earthenware bowl used for water. The Relief is carved 25 meters by 2 meters along a steeply sloped riverbanks. The daily activity of people during that times is perpetuated through this beautiful relief. Beside the relief itself, there are several niches that are used by the King of Bedahulu for meditation.

Relief Yeh Pulu is located in Bedahulu Village, next to Goa Gajah ( elephant cave). To get There you can join a Bali Tour and explore more the near by area, this place is about 7 km from Ubud Village.2pmwgkt8ji
