Very fast left reef break, best at highest or lowest tides of the month. Rarely crowded, because most mid tide wave close out. Some surfer say Balangan only link up over 10 feet, other say it is best under 4 feet. Some surf near the cliff , others surf the tail end. To get there turn right off the Uluwatu road at the hilltop intersection to Nusa Dua, or try the new road through ?Pecatu Indah Resort?. On the beach you?ll find a couple of small warungs for drinks and food. Balangan Beach is probably Bali?s most beautiful and clean white sand beach, but access may now be restricted by the new resort. There is a temple on the beach, with statues hidden by magic black and white checked cloth, representing the eternal conflict between good and evil.
