Candi Dasa is the most popular destination in East Bali, apart from Tulamben, Amed etc . Candi Dasa offers a classy alternative to the hassle and bussel of the southern areas. The original development of the 70′s centered around lagoon and fishing village, gradually extending along the beach in both direction in the classic style of Bali Beach developments.

Candi Dasa environment have matured and today offer accommodation from basic to 5 star resort ( complete with helipad) and everything in between. In addition to the fine dining at the resort there is now a good to excellent food to be had at  a number of boutique hotels and a few of the many restaurants lining the main street, take a wonder along  the street and while deciding where to eat tonight, browse the shop to see what tickles your fancy. Don’t expect discos and clubs as that’s not Candi Dasa about, here you are living in the village and quickly connect with, and feel part of the local scene. Apart from reading, there are plenty of other thing to do – many associated with working off those extra holiday calories. East Bali is rightly famous for it’s dive sites and Candi Dasa is no exception with good snorkeling and diving in the bay and around the nearby rocky islands.
