Just few kilometers from Tulamben is AMED, the Bali’s main east coast highway, a fairly small bay with a beach of black volcanic sand, crowded with dozen of colorful jukung ( traditional Balinese boat), local outrigger fishing canoes powered by small outboards. The reef of Amed is great for all level of divers. The dive sites are easy and relaxing. Divers can dive offer a short ” Jukung” ride or just off the beach. The underwater life so dense and gentle current offers a great number of nutrients to its crowds of fish and soft and hard coral. It’s an ideal for underwater naturalist and underwater photographers. Some area was badly affected by El Nino few years ago, particularly in the shallow areas, but recovery is progressing. Some big sponges are places of ” Laurela Siagiani” School of yellow Strip snapper are common. This place may serve as alternative sites of tulamben for beginner divers who need skill polish. There were many marine life such as Anthias, Butterfly fishes, Nudbranch, Frogfish and sometimes sharks and some big pelagic. The dive is generally relaxing.

Trying new food is hobby of mine ! Experiencing the unique and different food from different places in the world is like trying to do something new for the first time ( How exciting is that !!). Ok, now I’m over excited, lets focus on the topic ! Even though trying new food is great, we must always remember that our stomach may not able to accept new kind of food. This is why we recommend you to let the spices and chilies low and more importantly, make sure the food you are eating is hygiene! So, here is a little something about Bali belly or diarrhea you might want to know. Most Bali Belly or diarrhea cases Begin abruptly, the illness usually results is increased frequency, volume and weight of stool. Altered stool consistency also is common. typically, a traveller experiences four or five loose or watery bowel movement each day. Other commonly associated Bali Belly symptoms are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramping, bloating, fever, urgency and malaise. Most Bali belly cases begins and resolve in 1-2 days without treatment.

HOW TO AVOID :

  • Avoid eating or drinking beverages from vendors or other establishments where unhygienic conditions are presents
  • Avid eating raw or under cooked meat and seafood
  • Avoid eating raw fruits and vegetables unless peeling before eating.
