ASIAN BEACH GAMES IN BALI

The Asian Beach Games in Bali(ABG) to be played from 15 through 28 october 2008, is sure to become one of the greatest events in Denpasar, Bali. The games will engage foreign athletes competing in 16 branches of sport. The Denpasar area gets the lion’s share to the host the organizations of this events. Amongst the 16 branches of sports, 8 of them will be organized in Denpasar, namely volley ball, soccer, dragon boat racing, sailing, handball, windsurfing and so on. For that purpose eight venues will be prepared consisting of Serangan island, Sanur and the complex of Ngurah Rai Stadium.

BALI RECIPE : SATE LILIT

Sate lilit probably one of the most popular authentic Balinese Dishes apart from Suckling Pig “Babi Guling” and Bebek Betutu. Even Sate lilit served as accompaniment for Suckling Pig and other Balinese DIshes . Sate Lilit Made from either pork, beef, chicken and seafood, The Taste is marvelous. If you want to cook it at home, here is the Sate Lilit seafood meat Recipe for you:

  • 300 gr boneless snapper fillet
  • 300 gr raw prawn, peeled
  • 2 cups freshly grated coconut, 1 1/2 cups dessicated coconut, moistened
  • 5 fragrant lime leaves, cut in hair-like shreds
  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns, finely crushed
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 3-5 bird eye chilies, very finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • lemon grass cut in 15 lenghts for the Sate Skewer ( also reducing fish smell)

Now you can cook them over a fire of coconut husk rather then charcoal. woow Enak Sekali !, SELAMAT MAKAN !!!!
