Bali Best surfing site - West Coast

Best Time September- March

GENERAL INFo
Once in Kerobokan, turn left and ask for direction. The streets in the ricefields are quite confusing. Actually it is better to go to Batubelig and walk from there- about 15 minutes. Once you arrive there, you will find a top beach break with a long lefthander and shorter righthander.

CANGGU
The lefthander sometimes tubes the righthander is short but steep. The waves break over lavas stone directly in front of the beach and you surf them best between mid to high tide. At low tide the inside section gets too shallow. In Canggu you can surf up 6 foot, but the waves are a bit idiosyncratic and they are not always consisten.

PERERENAN
A rocky out cropping separates Canggu from Pererenen. 1 km north is a large parking area. That’s the spot. In a good swell there are 2 breaks. The first is a good right. And close by another right min fast but good. Best at mid tide and up to 6 ft. Over 6 foot its not so hot, with close outs which break further out. Water can be dirty because of the nearby rivers.

For those who consider travel an adventure, everything come under the category of adventure travel. That may be bus travel or an overseas adventure travel. They usually pay great attention to travel warnings  as they are much more aware of travel catastrophes.

Best Time September - March,

SERANGAN BEACH
Take the by-pass to Sanur and make a U-turn after MAKRO. Then turn left and just go straight ahead. After you have spend Rp1000 for parking, just ask the for the way to the surf beach. Ones there you will find one of the most diverse spots at all with a big choice of waves often very crowded, which can make it a night mare. You will find three breaks-perfect for beginner ride through the mst experienced don’t forget booties-sharp coral.

SANUR BEACH
A perfect righthander and a small, but fast lefthander infront of the hotel Tandjung Sari. Right-hand reef break located infront of the Grand Bali Beach Hotel. Sanur requires large swell to break and is best on a mid-high tide. Check it out at Nusa Dua first; If you don’t have minimum of 8 foot there, forget about Sanur-reef but with perfect conditions you will have one of you best days here.

HYATT REEF BEACH
Best avoided on an out going tide Hyatt is 1 kilometer offshore and can provide great right-handers. Located on the edge of the channel that drains all water from Sanur lagoon the Hyatt Reef is best surfed mid tide – incoming.
